Size Guide

Finding the Perfect Fit for Your Little One

Choosing the right size for your baby is essential for their comfort. Our premium UK brand clothing is designed to provide room for movement and growth while maintaining a proper fit. Use the guides below to find the perfect size for your child.

How to Measure Your Baby

For the most accurate sizing, we recommend measuring your baby:

  1. Weight: Weigh your baby in kilograms (most accurate indicator for sizing)
  2. Height: Measure from the top of your baby’s head to the bottom of their heel while lying flat
  3. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your baby’s chest
  4. Waist: Measure around your baby’s natural waistline

Tip: For the most accurate measurements, take them when your baby is calm and lying flat.

Brand-Specific Sizing Notes

Next

Next clothing tends to run true to size with a slightly generous fit, allowing room for growth.

George

George clothing is generally true to size with a comfortable fit. Their sleepsuits may run slightly longer in the leg compared to other brands.

Tu Baby

Tu Baby clothing tends to run slightly smaller than other UK brands. We recommend sizing up if your baby is between sizes.

Clothing Type Specific Guidance

Sleepsuits & Bodysuits

  • If your baby is between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort
  • Consider the frequency of diaper changes when selecting size

Outerwear (Jackets & Sweaters)

  • Size up if you plan to layer clothing underneath
  • Sleeve length should allow for full arm movement

Bottoms (Pants & Shorts)

  • Ensure waistbands are snug but not tight
  • Check that the rise (crotch to waistband) allows for a diaper or nappy

Helpful Sizing Tips

  1. Between Sizes? When in doubt, size up. Babies grow quickly, and a slightly bigger garment will be wearable longer.
  2. Season Matters: Consider when your baby will be wearing the clothes. Summer clothes may fit true to size, while winter clothes might need to be sized up for layering.
  3. Diaper Space: Ensure there’s enough room for a diaper and diaper changes.
  4. Different Brands, Different Sizes: UK brands can vary slightly in their sizing. Check our brand-specific notes.
  5. Growth Spurts: Consider buying the current size for immediate use and the next size up for when your baby has a growth spurt.
